Upcoming Activities & Events
Ongoing - Orientation Flights
Special arrangements can be made for
early weekday morning (7:00 a.m.) glider orientation flights at Jean
airport. You must provide your own transportation to/from Jean airport.
Jean airport is approximately 40 miles south of Nellis AFB on
Interstate 15.
Flights must be arranged at least 3 days prior with the
pilot.

1 August -
Basic & Advanced Communication User Training (BCUT & ACUT),
Henderson Composite Squadron
BCUT training starts at 0900.
ACUT training starts at 1245.
Additional details are available on the
NCS Form 7 found here.
All cadets must have this form signed by their parents and will turn it in upon
check-in Saturday. Follow the directions on the NCS Form 7!
Additionally, as this activity is not sponsored by Nellis
Composite Squadron, a CAP
Form 60 is required for all members. It will also be turned in upon
check-in.
We need a NCS senior member project officer
for this event!
8-15 August - CA/NV Summer
Encampment, San Luis Obispo
If you haven't signed up for encampment
yet, there is still a (small) opportunity for your to attend. Contact Lt
Col Jadwin as soon as possible!
Information for parents and cadets is

Encampment Web Page. Please take the time to read through the
information - all the way to the bottom. There is a packing list, required
reading and other information that will make your experience at encampment
better.
** Don't
forget: There is a
waiver form
that must be completed. If you don't, you will not be able to stay at the
encampment.
**An e-mail
message has been sent to encampment participants regarding transportation.

14-15 November -
Nellis Air Show, Nellis Air Force Base
Once again, Nellis AFB will host
Aviation Nation, a tribute to Americas Aviators and the final Thunderbirds
demonstration for the 2009 season. CAP typically has a significant roll in
the events. Plan on being there!
4-6 December -
NV Wing Conference, Nellis Air Force Base
CAP's annual wing-wide conference,
training and social event. More information will be coming.
5 December -
CAP Anniversary Ball, Nellis Air Force Base
For several years, southern Nevada has had a Banquet &
Military Ball in honor of CAP's Anniversary. This year, the Ball will be
held in conjunction with the Wing Conference.
